If there is an error code that you can’t fix, we can help in our monthly FixIT column. This month, we’re covering the HP error code: BOOT_ALL_CPUS_SLATED_FOR_DECONFIG. You are likely to encounter this error on an HP Integrity Blade BL860c Server during start up.
FixIT:
The error code BOOT_ALL_CPUS_SLATED_FOR_DECONFIG means that all CPUs are slated for deconfiguration. As always, make sure that you are running the most current firmware, and, if not, make any necessary updates. If you are using a system with only one processor, then this is an easy fix! Simply replace your processor and you should be up and running. However, if you have multiple processors it is unlikely that more than one processor would fail simultaneously. Generally, this error occurs in the zero slot, so replace that CPU and your issue will most likely be resolved.
