Give back through our custom ITAD donation programs
Donating used hardware and end user devices can be a lot of work. It seems simple on paper, but when done improperly, it can put your business at risk. That’s why CentricsIT has introduced a donation program into our ITAD offerings, ensuring secure and sustainable donations, helping to meet the needs in your communities without putting your business at risk.
This donation program is an add-on to your existing ITAD program, helping you give without making extra work or changing your processes. Our experts manage the donation lists, going back and forth with the beneficiaries to arrange all aspects of donation—from wiping, to transport and delivery. For donation, our team typically deals with end-user devices like laptops, desktops and tablets which are in demand for non-profits of all sizes and across all demographics.
How Donation Works
CentricsIT provides IT asset disposition to enterprises, and with every piece of equipment we process, we document and sanitize or destroy the data on it. From there, equipment goes to be resold or recycled. Equipment eligible for donation will be processed and will be donated rather than remarketed.
How You Get Involved
For clients that want to participate in our donation programs, all they need to do is choose a beneficiary. While we maintain a list of charities that have a use for hardware of all types, clients are free to choose their own. From there, our team reaches out with a list of eligible hardware—this is hardware that has been processed, wiped and approved for remarketing. The beneficiary chooses that hardware that it has a use for, and our logistics team packages and sends it to them. Items not chosen will be remarketed as a part of our standard consignment program.
What Your Donation Means
What your donation means is different depending on the beneficiary—whether it’s connecting underprivileged kids with IT training programs, connecting veterans with the tools they need to adjust to civilian life, or connecting seniors with the means to connect with others. Donating used hardware is an easy and meaningful way to give back and promote digital equity in your community.
