ATLANTA, May 21, 2018–CentricsIT, a global leader in IT lifecycle management solutions, has donated more than $2,000 worth in pre-configured laptops to The Dunta Robinson Foundation’s Take the Lead program through its philanthropic program Centrics Cares.
Former NFL player Dunta Robinson founded the foundation that bears his name after retiring from professional football and returning to the University of South Carolina to obtain his undergraduate degree. Between his business programs, personal business ventures, and the acquisition of his degree, Robinson’s philanthropic vision began to manifest. Robinson advocates that the earlier students are exposed to an idea, the more it will become a part of them, giving birth to the foundation’s Take the Lead program. The program shows youth how to take a business idea and bring it to life, while preparing them for the competitive business world.
“CentricsIT believes that we have an obligation to help the next generation win, whatever it takes. Technology plays a huge part in the continued education of the younger population,” said Taylor Barnes, CentricsIT Vice President of Global Business Development. “We saw an opportunity to get involved with The Dunta Robinson Foundation, and it’s an honor to be involved.”
Centrics Cares was launched in 2012 as the company-sponsored charitable initiatives program of CentricsIT. Since the company’s inception in 2007, it has supported numerous charities and philanthropic ventures.
